GET THEM WHILE THEY'RE HOT! My unnoticed project of creating 1 American steam loco IS 96% DONE! The loco, Southern Pacific GS-4 #4449, designed as-delivered in 1948, the only problem with this loco is, the sound and cab is aliased to the Black 5. so it will not be available until I can find some kind of American cab and sounds. But if you want it, it will be available with some hst couches repainted in the morning daylight colors. Unless someone asks early, there will not be a link untill it is 100% complete. Yes, I will give you a link if you ask for one. But before I can finish the loco, I NEED LINKS TO SITES THAT HAVE EDITED SOUNDS OF SP 4449!

Power outage...
Sorry to disappoint you guys, but Glendale had a power outage, so I lost some of my work. SOME! The only thing I lost was the texture data (witch, I had not got much progress on anyway..) BUT! It will be done later than expected... BECAUSE I AM WORKING ON THE COACHES TO! (the hst re-skins did not work out well.) expect it In the near future. (2 weeks..) And, DON'T BLAME ME! BLAME GLENDALE INTERNATIONAL ELECTRICITY CO. !

UNFORTUNATELY, I WAS TESTING THE BETA LINK, AND FOUND THAT IT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY, BUT ANYWAY, SOME WORK HAS BEEN DONE SINCE THE LINK WAS CREATED, NOW , 1.WORKING MARS LIGHT ON H KEY. 2. I USED ATSF 3751'S WHISTLE, (YES, I WILL MAKE A VARIANT WITH THE AIR HORN.) 3. UPDATED INTO AFT COLORS. 4. AND I HAVE RE SKINNED 50% OF THE HST COACHES INTO SP MORNING DAYLIGHT COLORS, AND THE POINT IS, I WILL SEND A LINK WHEN THE LOCO IS 100% DONE ( OR AT LEAST 99%)

I recently found out that
I recently found out that the Southern Pacific GS-4 #4449 didn't use the "normal" steam whistle but used an air horn! It was the later revival steam trips that had the #4449 fitted with a steam whistle because the audience preferred a traditional sound. For realism, try and keep it as it was normally used, with a horn.
That is where your wrong.
The GS-4s had Airhorns and Nathan 5 Chime whistles. They used the Air Horn in cities and such, but once they got out of the city they used the whistle. They had both, and I much prefer the whistle.
