Record breaking Class A4 Pacifics coming soon!
The prestigious high-speed Class A4 Pacifics were arguably the most famous of streamlined steam locomotives, and this year marks the 75th anniversary of Mallard's record breaking run of 126mph (201km/h) at Stoke Bank.
To commemorate this momentous occasion in steam train history, all six surviving Class A4 Pacifics will be recreated for Train Simulator, in their preserved liveries and as featured at the National Railway Museum's Great Gathering of the A4s in July 2013.

BR Class 31 now available for Train Simulator
The classic Class 31 diesel locomotive was a versatile workhorse of the British railway network, and now this Brush Type 2 is available for Train Simulator in BR Railfreight Sector and preserved BR Green liveries.
British Railways’ ‘Pilot Scheme’ to replace steam traction saw 20 Type 2 diesel locomotives built by Brush Traction in 1957. These development locomotives were fitted with Mirrlees engines and had a top speed of 80mph, designed for mixed traffic workings on the Eastern Region. LMS Class 3F 'Jinty' now available for Train Simulator
The diminutive Class 3F ‘Jinty’ 0-6-0 tank engine, designed by Henry Fowler and based on the Midland Railway Class 2441, is now available for Train Simulator in a number of LMS and BR liveries.:In total, more than 400 of these locomotives were built between 1924 and 1931, originally for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) and were often called upon for freight duties, although some could be seen on local passenger services and as banking locomotives.
